About Richard Jones

I am currently working at a small startup where I help develop a low level networking product. Preceding that, I spent 4 years working as a Software Engineer for Agent Oriented Software. In their spare time, the AOS developers do some weird stuff.

Before AOS I worked as a Software Engineer for Senate Software (a small search technology company) where I developed web page relevance heuristics.

Prior to Senate Software, I was co-founder of a company which developed network monitoring technologies. I was responsible for a majority of the development, which included low-level TCP/IP networking code, Linux kernel module development and the development of fast pattern matching algorithms.

I have two degrees, one in Computer Science and another in Cognitive Science. Whilst studying I majored in Computer Science, Linguistics and Psychology, areas I retain a keen interest in.

I am also a Squash Playing Buddhist.
